Career Profile Setup & Auto-Extraction

JobAI acts as your persistent career OS. Completing your profile once powers automatic tailoring, 1-click extension autofilling, and match scoring.

Step 1: Uploading an Existing Resume

Instead of typing every job and skill manually, navigate to Career Profile and upload your existing PDF or Word resume. JobAI executes a high-speed parsing pipeline via Groq 120B AI:

Extracts clean contact details (Full Name, Email, Phone, City, State, Country).
Maps professional links (LinkedIn URL, GitHub handle, Portfolio website).
Structures work history into roles, dates, employer names, and achievement bullet points.
Catalogs your core skill tags and educational degrees.

💡 Important for Chrome Extension Autofill:The Chrome Extension references your saved profile to populate applications in one click. If you haven't filled in your name or uploaded a resume yet, the extension will prompt you to complete your profile first before proceeding with form submissions.

Step 2: Configuring Work Authorization & Application Defaults

Visit Auto-Apply Profile to set your default answers for legal screening questions:

Work AuthorizationCountry of residence, visa sponsorship requirement (Yes/No), and relocation willingness.
